Why Amina Muaddi is Rihanna's go-to shoe designer

Rihanna can easily be called this generations leading style ICON. Her versatile style has become a key part of her brand, to the effect of her now partnering up with Louis Vuitton Moët Hennessy, also known as LVMH. A French multinational luxury goods conglomerate, to launch her very own fashion brand FENTY.

Whilst Rihanna started her journey as a Superstar artist, Amina had a different route into the design world. Amina started out styling for L’Uomo Vogue and GQ after studying at the European Institute of Design in Milan.

Upon working with world-class artisans and suppliers, Amina co-founded her initial shoe-brand venture, named Oscar Tiye based in Milan.

Now her own ‘Amina Muaddi’ shoe line comes with a waiting list and a client list including Rihanna, the Jenner sisters, and Princess Rania of Jordan. With the brand launching just one collection a year, the distribution of her shoes are extremely limited.

The flared heel design is now as infamous as the red soles of Christian Louboutin shoes.
