#LFW2017 Interior Inspiration: Pastels
London Fashion week is especially important to me as I feel London is the home of the most eclectic talents in Design and the Arts. Unlike other cities, it seems that pop/street trends transcends into the runways instead of the other way around. This season did not disappoint with a fresh take on pastels, from elegant ruching at Peter Pilotto to a slouchy suit at the Preen show.
Like the lavender trend, too much of sweet pastels can be a bit saccharine. However subtle introductions of this fresh trend can be wonderful with the right products and complimentary palettes.

How to brighten your room
Pastels are a constant trend in furniture so you'll have no worries in finding the perfect pieces. We added some examples above for you.
How to add pastel tones into your living room
In the living room board a simple mid-tone grey sofa is used with a relaxed look to compliment the pastel tones on the rug and armchair. To add another element add a feature wall in a soft pink. Simple soft furnishings like throws and cushions in block pastel tones can be used to soften a room. If adding a statement pastel coloured piece like a chair (or sofa) try to avoid flowery patterns in cushions and other soft furnishings to avoid the room becoming saccharine. Things like planter's or lighting in soft pastel tones will add femininity.
